Kentwood Police have released few details of the shooting. They arrested one person after the incident, but that person was released on Monday pending further investigation.
The school principal described McCuller as “smart, full of life, and a kind student who always had a smile on his face.”
“He brightened everyone’s day in Algiers with his magnetic personality. Jamarion will be greatly missed,” Colton wrote.
Colton’s letter advises parents on how to spot stress in students who may be struggling emotionally after death.
