A Victoria ISD college student had to go to a local hospital after a fight at school

“I spoke to the teachers for the sixth year…and basically there will be no more consequences for these girls.”

VICTORIA, Texas — A Victoria ISD middle school student had to go to a local hospital after being involved in a school fight. The fight got so bad that the student developed kidney problems as a result.

Jordan Fox, a 12-year-old student at Stroman Middle School, said the fight took place after one of his classes around 10 a.m. on Wednesday April 6. The video shows Fox walking away when an 8th grader runs up behind her and punches her. .

Fox had to go to the hospital around 7 p.m. the same day after experiencing pain in his lower back.

Doctors told Fox she suffered a lacerated kidney as a result of the fight.

Fox says the student who hit her was suspended for three days and placed on ISS (school suspension) for one day as a result.

Jordan’s grandmother, Lorraine Robles, says she wants administrators to take more action against those who hurt her daughter.

“They won’t do anything about it. I mean basically this morning when I took her to school because she was scared to go to school. It makes her sick to drive to school, you know, she’s afraid those girls will do that to her again. I’ve spoken to the sixth grade teachers, I guess she’s the principal and basically there won’t be any more consequences for those girls,” Robles says.

Fox says she didn’t want to go to the hospital but the pain became unbearable.

“I don’t like hospitals so it was bad and it hurt like where my back is, like my lower back”

We have contacted ISD Victoria, a spokesperson says they are aware of the fight, but the district cannot discuss disciplinary action involving students.
