Golden Names Mill Creek Elementary School Administrator As New Scales Principal | Brentwood homepage

Mill Creek Elementary Vice-Principal Drew Perry will assume the role of principal at Scales Elementary later this summer, as announced Thursday via InFocus.

“Drew’s commitment to the school community he serves is second to none,” Williamson County Schools Superintendent Jason Golden said. “Not only will he build relationships with Scales families and staff, but he will set high expectations for success for everyone.”

Perry joined WCS in 2009 and taught physical education at Heritage Elementary before being named vice-principal at Mill Creek Elementary in 2016 when the school opened.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to serve the community of Nolensville as Deputy Director of MCES. I am very proud of the positive culture that Mill Creek staff, students and families have created over the past six years,” said Perry.

“It will be difficult to say goodbye, but I am extremely happy to serve and associate myself with the community of Brentwood. I look forward to meeting and getting to know the amazing staff, students and families at Scales.

Perry earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in teaching, both from the University of Arkansas.

He replaces Melonye Lowe, who is retiring at the end of the school year, and Perry will take up her new role on July 1.
