Investigation continues into death of Berkeley High School student
BERKELEY, Calif. – An official cause of death has yet to be determined for the Berkeley High School student who died Monday, according to Alameda County Sheriff’s Sgt. Erik Bordi said on Thursday..
The coroner’s office had not completed the autopsy, according to Bondi.

Berkeley High School principal Juan Raygoza notified the families of the teen’s death in an email late Monday, adding that counseling would be available at the high school in the coming days.
“I am heartbroken to inform you of the death of a Berkeley High School student in an incident that occurred just one block from Berkeley High School during busy lunchtime today” , wrote Raygoza.
“Our thoughts are with this family and all members of the Berkeley High School community who may be affected by this loss.”
Berkeley Police told Berkeleyside they were investigating the death, but there “appeared to be no signs of foul play.”
