School administrator job with UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF SCOTLAND
School of Health and Life Sciences
Part-time: 21 hours per week
As part of its continued development, the School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organized Administrator to become a key member of the School’s Professional Services team based at our campus in Lanarkshire.
In this busy role of school administrator, you will provide high-level administrative support to academics and students. Working within a flexible team, you will provide support for education and quality assurance activities within the school to ensure that requirements in these areas are met.
The successful candidate should be trained to Level 3 HNC/SVQ or equivalent in office administration or a relevant field with experience working in a similar office environment, ideally in higher or higher education. Proficiency in computer and Microsoft applications is also essential.
You will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with staff and students at all levels. In addition, you will possess excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to plan on your own initiative and meet specific deadlines. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial along with the ability to work in a team, support colleagues and share expertise.
This position will be based at our Lanarkshire campus, however all administrators may be required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet business requirements.
