TASSP Names Redwater High School Administrator Regional Assistant Principal of the Year

Shaun George, Vice Principal of Redwater High School (RHS), has been selected to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the Region 8 Educational Services Center (ESC) Outstanding Vice Principal of the Year. .

TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and vice principals of twenty Regional Educational Service Centers across the state. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their region. Nominations are based on exemplary performance and exceptional leadership.

George has been with Redwater ISD for four years and has eight years in education. He received his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from TAMU-Texarkana. George earned his senior certification at Lamar University.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be nominated for and win Region VIII High School PA of the Year,” said George. “I believe good leadership is about ensuring that the needs of our teachers, students and staff are met on a daily basis. My job is to make sure they have what they need to be successful in their educational pursuits. »

For George, his daily question as an educational administrator is, “How can I help?” Without a doubt, his heart is driven by service to others with the goal of making his school and district prosper.
Regional winners will be recognized on September 7 at Region VIII ESC in Pittsburg, TX.
